Here are some guidelines on getting here:
Note that there are many campus, make sure you are at the right one (Boa Viagem), where the engineering school is located. NOT São Domingos or Valonguinho. The guards at the door will have directions and try to steer you to the right place. ISMICK will be held at the Physics Institute auditorium, 2nd floor.
From Rio, by ferry (Praça XV), then take the 47 bus (entrance through R. Passo da Pátria) or 47a or 47b (entrance through Gen Milton Tavares de Souza.)
By bus: from Gávea, 996 or from Ilha/Galeão 998 (either descend at the ferry stationand take the buses mentioned above or descend at the law school and walk down to the entrance ~ 10 minutes)
From Leme: bus #740 From Ipanema/Copacabana a van runs from Praça Gen. Osório to Niterói. Get off as above.
Driving: you should be able to park on campus, especially if you get in through the Gen Milton Tavares de Souza entrance (by the bay).

We apologize, but apparently the email we sent with the poster format did not reach everybody.
CLICK HERE FOR THE POSTER FORMAT
We have uploaded the format to the site and will be sending a new email.
It is a powerpoint file, mainly to mark page size. You can use the area as you see fit, but we encourage the use of images in lieu of extensive text paragraphs. Participants will walk by the posters, and are unlikely to stop to read extensive text (that’s not to say there shouldn’t be text on your posters, just that it should be short and direct - like something you would put on slides). Design your poster so the main ideas can quickly be grasped by the observer, and use it as a conversation piece. Make it exciting so people will come look! The main points of your research should be presented and can be used when you explain your work to others.
Bring your poster to the conference as early as possible on the first day for hanging and setup, and remember to register for the conference beforehand to take advantage of the discount. The poster session will take place on Monday, Nov 3, in the afternoon.
